Communications Associates is a Wireless Communications firm. We offer consulting, project management, contractor compliance, and technical services utilizing the combined talents of several wireless communications contractors. Most of our Professional Associates have been continuously employed in the wireless systems and service business since the 1970’s. We approach each job with an overview and knowledge only experience can achieve. We are now known as TeamCAI.

The Principles are all Public Safety professionals.  Your primary contact is Mr. T. F. "Tim" Smoak. In addition to creating "TeamCAI", he is a 40+ year first responder, with a comprehensive education in wireless & IT/IS technology. He holds Florida certifications in Law Enforcement, Firefighting, Paramedic / EMT, and associated Emergency Management skill sets. Our professional associates include multiple career paths with a balance of technical service experts, project management, and consultants from all aspects of the emergency services community. One of our founders was Deputy Chief Emily Smoak (Ret.), having served as the director of virtually every division of multiple agencies, including Florida's Tallahassee Police Department. Our staff also includes Lieutenant Gary Stango (Ret), former Hartford, CT 911 services director, and active project manager.

Communications Associates Service Company operated authorized service centers for Motorola (NSO 12889-001), GE (Now Harris, AT-44-4570), the E .F. Johnson Company, and others giving us vast experience. The firm has completed or project managed over 1000 conventional, cellular, trunking, and microwave installations. Many of our contracts included turnkey build out of the complete tower site and infrastructure inclusive of all site preparation, equipment installation, power and RF distribution, data and telco networks, and all other systems to completion and compliance. This gives us a distinct advantage in protecting the integrity of your information gathering requests.We now focus our efforts to assist our Public Safety Clients.

Continuing Education: Our Consultants are recognized by multiple industry leaders including Federal Engineering. All of our Professional Associates frequently attend factory training seminars and schools on all applicable systems and equipment that we must encounter or evaluate. We also attend most major industry trade shows and industry briefings to stay current with the market. CAI retains licensed contractors and staff, as required for each project.

Current Mission: As well as Consulting, TeamCAI now represents the talents of its members, and project manages all contracts. We are available to serve your firm with all of our combined talents, inclusive of applications and compliance reviews. All work is administrated through our offices in north Florida.
